Would the looks be directly linked to the face/hair combo that correlates to the opposite sex such as it was for April Fool's, or would players get to have some personal touch to it.

I imagine there's plenty of people who similarly don't give a damn.

Being able to personalize it would be cool, sure, but that's asking for a bit too much : \

I would be willing to pay up to 5g or 1K but I am not going to give them my $$ for something like this untill some other stuff get worked out first(drop the nerfs).Make the game Fun again.

If it was in-game it should be relatively cheap. There's no logic to a 20k hair style.

If it was in the store Anet would be accused of dirty whoring out in-game extras for cash, which they would be.

No more than 5k in-game, but I wouldn't pay any real cash to change a virtual character's feature though it would be cool to be able to do so.

Arrow For a haircut, I'd pay:

in real life: 0€, as I don't pay others to mess up my hair;
in Guild Wars: 2K gold, same as a guild emblem change.

real life, like a package for 5 dollars that gets you 10 changes.

Game money, 1k for a single change.

I understand why they'd charge for something like a name change, to verify a valid user transaction and to minimise the number of changes.

But hair (or appearance)? Id say ingame gold, or a reward for a difficult repeatable quest.

Post creation character changes (in limited number, not infinite) would be welcomed.

I mean you can say 'go roll a new toon', but is that really a choice for say a 3yr old character who has completed all the campaigns/quests, has a number of titles, weapons and armor sets?

Real Money: Zero. - No, we should not open this can of worms.

Ingame money: 50K for hairstyle, 50K for color
To prevent people from switching hairstyle and color too often. I would not like that.

Myself: I use a razor to cut my hair RL.

I am remaking new warrior as the current one has ugly face, stupid hairstyle, pale skin and very "offensive" name. I would pay 100K for each of these things to change to something else. Sad part is he has so many elite armor pieces and rare customized weapons including a tormented spear

Let a friend report you or write to support that your very own name is stupid and offensive and ask for a change.

About the face, get a helmet. About the skin, well... use sunspear armor e.g., and not glads.

Not really worth remaking this one, come on... you would bite yourself in the arse.

Why would having people change their hairstyle frequently be a problem? Very few people could even afford to change their hair even a few times. 50k is absurd.

I'd pay 5K for hairstyle (not dissatisfied with any of my avatars) and up to 50K for a namechange (got one avatar I like with a name which in retrospect was unfortunate).

Real money? Perhaps a few buck for that namechange.
